Eligibility For Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination

Nationality
A candidate must be either -
(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit for IES/ISS Exam: A candidate should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January of the year of examination. The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and such other categories of persons as may from time to time be notified in this behalf by the Government of India to the extent
Educational Qualification for IES/ISS Exam:
A Post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics for the IES and a Post-graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics for the ISS, from a recognised University or equivalent.
Physical Requirements for IES/ISS Exam
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination as per the regulations specified in the examination notification.
