Selection Procedure for TNPSC Group IV The selection process starts with the eligibility criteria, where candidates are categorised in the quotas. After the written exam is complete, first priority is given to candidates with better technical qualifications and superior grades in language (Tamil and English). Thus, candidates with Higher/Senior grade in English and Tamil are selected. If candidates don’t take up the post, preference is given to candidates with technical qualifications of Higher/ Senior grade in Tamil and Lower/Junior grade in English. When this selection criterion is over, candidates with higher/Senior grade in English and Lower/Junior grade in Tamil will be given more importance. For the post of field surveyor, then the candidates with ITI Qualification in surveying is preferred.
