TNPSC Group 1 Examination is the highest ranking exam for state civil service in Tamil Nadu. Being one of the largest examinations in the South India, the competition is high and aspirants need to show their full concentration, commitment, sincerity and hard work to emerge successful in the examination.
All the exam papers will be degree standard and descriptive Type. Since, it is a competitive exam for Tamil Nadu civil service, some of the questions asked in this paper shall be exclusively with reference to Tamil Nadu. Regular reading of a newspaper in Tamil and studying one of the Competitive Exam Magazine (Tamil or English) is important. Good knowledge about current affairs of at least one year is vital for any aspirant wishing to clear the exam. The question papers contain questions in both in Tamil and in English. Candidates are allowed to answer the Main Written Examination either in Tamil or in English or partly in Tamil and partly in English and are also allowed to write Technical words wherever necessary in either of the languages. The Main Written Examination for TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment will be held at the city of Chennai.
The TNPSC Group I Syllabus and exam pattern is not complex if the aspirants are aware of the Exam Pattern and Syllabus. With the proper preparation, they can surely crack the Group I Services Recruitment Examination.
TNPSC Group 1 exams are conducted in three levels :
Candidates who qualify preliminary will be called for Mains examination and then the final selection made on the basis of performance in Interview.
