Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education

Started its inception in the year 1910, Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education, is functioning under the purview of the Department of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, India.

Up to and ending at the secondary (class 10) level, Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education offers the following streams of education:

  • The SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) stream
  • The Anglo-Indian stream
  • The Oriental School Leaving Certificate (OSLC) stream and the Matriculation stream

The jurisdiction of the board extends to schools located inside the state of Tamil Nadu only. Schools can choose to affiliate themselves to the Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education.
