Staff Selection Commission Exams (SSC)

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an Indian organization dedicated to the recruitment of staff for different posts under various Ministries and Departments of Govt. of India.

Throughout the year, the commission conducts numerous exams and interviews to recruit staff in the position of Group C and Group D for different Ministries and Departments of Govt. of India. Since the commission is a central government agency, it doesn’t conduct recruitment for state government and its departments. One of the basic differences between SSC and UPSC is that the former conducts recruitment for Group B and C, while latter concentrates on Group A. The number of posts that the SSC is recruiting for a particular year depends on the number vacancies for that year. These vacancies are determined by individual Central Government departments and ministries.
