Engineering Entrance Exams 2019

Engineering is one of the most sought after career in India. It contains a wider choice of specializations than any other profession. There are vast numbers of engineering colleges in the country, which are generally run by three different categories (State Government, Central Government and Private Bodies). AIEEE exam is now being replaced by JEE Main effective from 2013. This JEE (Main) exam is organized by CBSE and all NITs can take admissions on merit based in JEE Main List.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) offers admissions to students in various engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. TNEA counselling is a single window process and admissions. Candidates need to note that written entrance exam for TNEA has been removed and seats are allotted in TNEA 2018 through merit list.

Among all the Engineering Institutes, the Indian institutes of technology (IITs) are the reputed and internationally well-known Institutes in India, spread across the country in seven different places to cater Engineering education to Indians as well as to international students.

Admission to the various Engineering courses in the different Institutes in India is done through Entrance tests. Thousands of aspirants take these exams every year. The two main Engineering Entrance Tests conducted every year in India for the undergraduate Engineering admission offered through different Institutes are :

IIT - JEE-Advanced (Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Exam For PG)

IIT - JEE-Main (Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Exam For UG)

IIT-JEE is a joint entrance exam for admission to IITs (Chennai, Guwahati, New Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee and Mumbai) and other premier institutions.

Apart from these two All-India level exams, many other state level entrance exams are conducted in India in both Undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
